Try finding a speedometer cable these days. Not an easy task for an older car.

Really it is almost the same deal. You just need new tools to work on the newer cars.

 

????? ???? ??? ? for the almost old ...I want to up grade Ph.... Needs to be EZ to use ..I have Att pay as you go cuz just use it when we go out of town. They sent us a letter that we can get a smart Ph. (refurbished) for cheep 9.99...I this going to be EZ to use or will I end up sitting it on a post at the hunt camp for the 9 M.M.? Thanks Jim

Most smart phones are easy to use. Just need to use the manual and use the phone. If you need help Google your question and I bet you will find an answer.

Do other members of your family have a smart phone and do they send text messages?

Not a bad little phone. Texting will be hard due to no real keyboard on the phone or the display. If you do not text that is not a big deal. Having to press a numer 3 or 4 time to select the letter is a PITA.

 

Have to get it online & turn in the old flip ph for the 9.99 also must order by the end of the mo..

 

Why is it people text instead of talk technology has made us electronic dependent...case in point: here I sit at the computer typing in a reply to a few threads about phones and texting....DUH

It is really about CYA. A lot harder to record a phone conversation than saving a text message.

In the mean time, I got this back from the gunsmith who does my custom work - my back-up Vintage Sniper Competition match rifle. This one is a 1943 Tula with a '44 Kazan scope. Only 7% of the total of PU sniper scopes were made in that factory during the war.

This one is in a beautiful late war laminated stock - you can see the sections if you look at the close up of the action, just in front of the scope mount.






And, even more importantly, Lynn is doing much better. She went back to work on Tuesday and had the staples removed today. 3 more days and we can get back in the spa. She still needs to have the ECRP procedure on the 21st to remove the stent, but that should be the end of this nightmare.

The Apple iPhones are very easy to use and I am on my third one (4-S) now. And you can get a new 4S for a low price at AT&T.

I was not into texting until my last daughter started college several years ago (senior now at Emory) pushed me into it with her texts.

Now, I enjoy texting and our "breakfast club gang" (veterans & retired guys) text each other daily when and where we are meeting & etc.

Jim, once you get used to a smart phone and texting ... you will notice how much easier it makes your life.
