Unfortunatly, yes there is a substitution for US workers....People who are willing to work harder for less... Who do you seeing do all the jobs that the americans dont want and/or are "too good for"? Mexicans. they will do whatever it takes to support their families and if it means roofing a house in mid summer, picking apples or whatever...

I understand you wanting to support american jobs and the american ecomony but you did buy a toyota....a japanese product....
Your ranting just makes you sound very arrogant and ignorant

I have no problem with my truck being made in mexico. I know it has the toyota name and that means quality.

I figure, as long as it doesn't fall apart.. and works as expected.. I don't care who put it together.

Unless they were midgets.. they freak me out.. and I don't think they would do a good job with their little arms.

LOL, My Taco was milk in Mexico...... Were you looking for "hecho" maybe? Made in Mexico, right?

I'm certain the same strict manufacturing practices are lived up to wherever Toyotas are assembled.

I wouldn't be happy with my spouse if she had that attitude. You really think the Japanese would allow differing quality products to be built in different plants?

If you're really as loyal as you say you are you shouldn't have bought a Japanese truck. Regardless of where it's built, the money still goes to Japan.

Congratulations, your posts show both arrogance and ignorance.

Robots all speak the same language, whether they're in Mexico, the US, or Japan, and robots do the majority of Toyotas assembly.

This is right, Toyota is THE leader as far global quality systems that ensure a quality product while using local supply chains. Every other manufacturing industry uses Toyota as an example of what defines manufacturing excellence.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
Wow.. How people jump to conclusions..
When I came to this board it was all cool people.. Who didn't jump on peoples cases. Who didn't act like every other post w hore on every other forum.
Well in the past month i have been proved wrong.

this guy is wrong for having some sort of pride in America?
And people are calling it racist..
Wow.. True there is no such thing as "American made" anymore.
but it's not like UAW sold us out. An they do not make $75 an hour. the Toyota plat in Cali is still UAW. and retained many workers from when it was a GM plant.
Toyota took GM's worst labor relation plant in the cuntry and out produces what GM has done there in the past three fold.

wow. People need to research stuff before they just spread what they have heard.... Especially in a message board where people come for information.

Disagree with the pay comment- Between benefits, stock options, training, time employed, and pay- There are UAW folks who make upwards of $75 an hour. They may not get 75 dollars an hour- but the overall value of everything can reach above that number.

And the direct implication that things made over seas are inferior to US products is more or less racist when it's not true. If we REALLY made the best of everything- We wouldn't have the trade deficit nor many of the issues we do with quality. But we buy a shit ton of better electronics, cars, and a variety of other items from over seas. So saying that we/our products are better just because we are American is racist...

OK OK thank you. I'm slowly starting to understand the fact that we do have a GLOBAL economy. I just can't live in my little bubble.

I just want to clarify that I was trying to help the jobs here. We are in a horrible recession and that 1 truck does make a difference. It's that fact that those are jobs we need here. People want to assemble cars here but it's too late.

    Thank you for your help.

I am not a racist, I do not hate mexico. I just have a lot of pride in our country. I feel like I just helped tear it down.
