I drove one of these the other day. It was a premium (had sunroof and other extras, so it was heavier) and it was the auto with paddle shifters.

I have been driving sports cars all my life and I can say I was honestly impressed with the power this little car puts out. Wish I had the extra money for one right now to play around in.

Sounds cheaper to trade once you move...and most Tacomas that are 4x4 sport or offroad are worth more than your car, unless you want an older one

Prerunner or 4x4 with the tow package will handle that.
They're rated to about 6k, but you have to watch your gross combined. You can easily go over gross with a couple of passengers and food/supplies with as little as 5k.
4x4 capacity is a bit lower due to the extra weight of the front driveline, so balance whether the advantages of 4x4 are worth it. It doesn't snow much in Vegas.

But make sure you get the towing package. Sway control (part of the VSC system), oil and trans coolers, 7-pin plug, and prewired for a brake controller.
