Why I carry.....

Found very little to disagree with in your post except that most states I've been licensed in add the codicil that you are not allowed to carry a weapon in an establishment that expressly forbids it.
I've never seen a "NO WEAPONS" sign in a WalMart, but to be honest, I don't often look for them either.
Open carry has too many negatives for my taste, although I support the right of legally doing so. First, I wouldn't care for the attention. Second, I'd rather not have to be on guard constantly to prevent a bad guy (or a nosy kid) from trying to take the weapon.

Carrying a deadly weapon is an obligation, not a badge of honor. Those who do must have the mindset that they do not start trouble nor escalate a confrontation- but are fully prepared to respond when a situation ramps out of control.

What a difference a few years makes... People like you and your attack on MY rights are what is wrong with this country. 28 signed presidential orders against weapons, magazines and ammunition, all without senate or congressional input? Fast and the furious scandal was meant to frame US firearms manufacturers to rally against the 2nd amendment.

Please people, look twice before happily giving away rights.. they are precious and a lot of people died for us to have them.

 

I know I'm quoting an old post but they are coming for all guns that is the eventual plan...
