I have about 14K left on my 2012 taco. I am thinking hard as what to do next. I can pay it off or use that money to buy a new jet ski (just sold my old jet ski).

The key is balance. You don't want to wait until you are 60 to do things cause you might not live that long. With crazy people in this world, being in the wrong place can be deadly.

Cash is not king in the auto dealer industry anymore, the finance managers get paid by the credit unions and the banks for having people finance with them. they can get up to 800-900 extra in kick backs by having you use a certian bank so they want you to use credit, if you pay cash nothing for them..

A little of this and a little of that.
Paid it off earlier this week. It took 26 months into a 48 month loan. I just applied my overtime money as often as I could.

I was borderline in deciding to pay it off since my rate was 1.99 with 6k down when I bought it last year.

Finally decided to pay if off. Just got the title this week. Took me exactly one year.

    If I can't pay cash, I don't buy.
Also, pretty nice having an extra 5-600 at the end of the paycheck that isn't going toward a depreciating asset.
