I love the halos are fairly easy to connect to the shroud just kind of lay there on a little shelf. into secure them I just used a small piece of wire on each side you can't even notice it outside of the housing. and I would not buy the cold cathode the LED is worth the extra money!

D2S and Mini-H1 both mount similarly.
The H1 reflector is a bit smaller, and it uses an H1 format burner base.
The D2S uses a D2S format burner base.

The D2S is an industry standard. If the Feds decide that no more "plug and play" kits can be sold (again), the D2S will remain in the standard parts pipeline.

Personally, I like the D2S. Some prefer the Mini-H1. The D2S is a bit more even across the road. The Mini-H1 has a bit more of a "hot spot" in the center 20 degrees or so that some find preferable, as it better mimics the pattern from a halogen headlight.

It took me a few nights to get used to the even pattern and sharp cutoff of my D2S set.

There is some "give" in the mounting ring, but not that much. You're almost 45 degrees out... almost like it's not mounted properly in the housing.
I've seen some H1 kits that bad, but this is the first D2S I've seen posted like that.

I'm afraid your only option is going to be to remove the housings from the truck and try to rotate the projectors as best you can. If you can't get enough, you're going to have to open the housings back up, remove the projectors, and work on filing the tabs/channels to get it to position correctly.

You can eyeball it close enough by looking directly into the lens (UNPLUGGED!) and gauging level by sighting across the top of the cutoff fence and the horizontal facets on the reflector bowl.
I did it that way and mine are ever so slightly angled up on the left... maybe 2 or 3 degrees, not noticeable.

I'm going to get the d2s kit. Just have to decide between 35w and 55w

I want to but I'm just worried about it getting too hot in the mini projector. Don't want to be melting stuff lol

I went with the 35W, I saw them in person and was extremely impressed. I'm not sure if the 55W would melt stuff but I didn't feel like taking the risk lol.
