I love this truck. It makes me sad that its just been sitting for almost a year now...Especially here where things like to rust when they sit. Its got some places in the body that are slightly rusty, and on the drivers side its totally eaten away a part right at the base of the fender. :(
It was licensed in Nevada where you don't have to smog..so it has no exhaust pipe but it sounds so utterly lovely and loud <3

Its not white, its tan. The only specials on it are headers, and its got a 4 inch lift. Its a long bed too, which I heard from a few people is rare?? I dont know. Its like the special edition of its time. Its also got the package where you can lock the wheels up. And....dat straight axel <3

The guys on IH8MUD will put some pic up of a TLC you can't get here and someone else will ratttle off where its at and whose it is and why it is there. Usually it involves ours or another countrie's spec ops and they are in the Carolinas.

I want to see it be put to some sort of use, rather than sold or just sitting :D Dude keeps talking about selling it for $800 dollars..
It used to be the daily driver, and was replaced by a crappy old lady car. This old lady car has so many problems and troubles it seems that dumping oil in the ole yota would be more practical at this point.
All it needs is a new motor.

No trail rig! Too many of them have been hacked up and turned into them. I would love to have one restored to pretty much stock. Here in the Midwest you NEVER see them on the road. They rusted like crazy. Take a look on Ebay to see what a restored or clean 79-83 SR5 goes for and you will change your mind.

There was a guy here in the Upper Peninsula a ways away from me that had one he dumped a SBC in and hacked it to run 40s. It turned out to be a very rare 4Runner-type conversion. He said it was unfortunately hacked beyond repair for the most part.

I won't lie. Im with you. I'd love to see this truck with a new paintjob, body work to fix the little rusted out spot (other than that the body is pretty smooth). Then of course, the new motor it needs, and new wheels and tires. Other than that its in perfect condition. The inside is nice too still. I definitely want it to be a daily driver again.

Here's the '94 (Pre-Taco) 4X4 that I just traded. Not surprisingly, I miss the old girl...Cosmetically, she looked almost new...:sorry: to see her go...

Hoping you guys may be able to help me out. I am looking at lifting my 1990 Toyota Pickup. I can't decide between the 2" lift or a 4" lift. Hoping some of you may have some pics that you can show. Thanks.

My thought is, only lift as high as needed...2" easily fits 32x11.50 tires. For 33x12 tires, you need 4" of lift. This is w/o trimming fenders...which you'll need to do for 34's.

Higher lift can affect steering & suspension geometry, and put additional strain on the driveshafts and u-joints, not to mention CG and stability.

I've heard from several different people that you can barely fit 33x10.5's on stock suspension, maybe with a 1" body lift, not sure (but I don't recommend body lifts...just seem sketchy to me). Definitely need more lift for wider tires, but that's up to you, really.

Oh and if you haven't already, check out TTORA and Yotatech forums. Tons of information and pictures on there for older vehicles.
