ok ok yes I have the driveline vibes.
Funny I never noticed it on my 2006 4WD DC SR5 :notsure:
No biggie I guess they all vibe or so I read ...
Yesterday I noticed the windshield/grill whatever whistle around 40 mph.
At first I thought it was the antenna or maybe my passenger side window was open a tad ..... nope.
Tried the little tube in the grill weatherstripping but still whistles dixie.
So up goes the volume on the stereo.
Today I finally wash the truck.
Mud season has finally arrived ...yippee.
    What is this??
I park the north 40 away from everyone and have only had to parallel park twice in the "city".
Yes Vermont has some city-like parking lol.
Well I guess someone left me some scrapage....:(
Cleaned it up as best I could. It's minor but a bummer ...asphats
What is this little plastic piece?
What is the easiest way to fix it?
yes it's a truck but still my baby....

    thank you.
    What is dr color chip?
The dealer gave me a bottle of the touch up stuff.
I did use some scratch remover...what you see is what wouldn't come off.
Maybe an orbital polisher? Some Plasti derp?

Sorry to hear about your issues:/ Only thing I have had thus far has been the whistling (only at 80mph in a headwind though). Fixed that right up by putting some stiff 1/4 drip line in not only the main strip above the grille but both strips on the headlights as well just in case, and haven't heard a peep since.

I could remove above half of her scratches with rubbing compound and polisher, but there are a few areas that nothing short of some painting would fix.

Dang judy! that all sucks! I have only kinda heard a whistle twice. one was back in jan on my trip to NY. it was supper windy on i-90(i was in the fast lane and driver side tires were kinda close to the line, and i got pushed into the right hand lane, that how bad the wind was. next day found it they had average of 60MPH winds with gust over 70. idk what the whistle was from, maybe the in channel vent visors, maybe something in the bed. had it happen on another really windy day.

and idk i have not had any vibes on my ’07 4wd TRD OR. I sometimes get a steering wheel vibe shake when it’s raining, i think it’s my tires because thats when it started.

I hate as$hats, one keyed my truck like 13 days after i got it.

FYI, it’s not part of bumper, it just the flair part and can come off. I know if you get bush wakers it replaces it (on all years ’05 to present)

Sorry about the rubbage. I agree with the folks comments above and the rubbing compound, used it to remove paint from an issue with parking in the past then a good polish should take alot of it out. 6,400 miles on my 13 4x4 and no whistle or vibe's as of yet.

Looks like most of the scratches are through the clear and some all the way down to bare plastic. That is a repaint to ever have it look good again. No "scratch remover" in the world will take all that out. Good rule of thumb. If you can catch the scratch with a finger nail it's too deep to sand and buff out all the way.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having with the new truck!

For the scratches, if it's down to the bare plastic, you can try compound for the smaller scratches but the deep ones will need to be repaired. I like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and some good ole fashioned elbow grease. I'd try that first to see if it takes care of some of the smaller ones.

For the deeper scratches, I would definitely recommend the Dr. Colorchip kit. I recently repaired a lot of dings and scratches that have accumulated on my truck over the years and most of them you can't even see any longer. The kit was very easy to use and blended in well. I've used the dealer's touch up paint and it sticks out like a sore thumb. I would not use it on your fender flares. Another option would be to see if you can just replace that piece but I have no idea if it comes off or not. On the 2012 and 2013, it doesn't look like it comes off like it did on the 2005 to 2011 models.

It's a front bumper extension. There is a difference from 05-11 and the 12 and 13. Sucks that someone did that to OP's truck. Looks like it got the bumper as well

yes you are correct I tried the scratch X by Meguiers.
It worked well on the stuff that was not deep into the plastic.
What you see in the pic is where the compound got caught in the scratches.
I watched the crazy you tube videos on repairing the plastic bumpers with filler & they all get sanded off, filled in with some polymer stuff & repainted.

thanks Mike right now leaning towarding finding that plastic piece
Maybe some 12-13 guys have gone ARB or some armor up front in Mag gray??

Yes it got the bumper in front too. :(
