I'm keeping the stock head unit for two reasons. 1, I listen to XM 95% of the time, and 2, I want to keep it low profile/stealthy.

    I just ordered up:
    AudioVox XMCK30P XpressRC XM unit
    MTX reQ-5 sound processor
    Hifonics ZXi-4410 amplifier
    MBQuart RSI 216 6 1/2" component set
MBQuart RSH 252 10" shallow mount sub
Memphis 4 ga wire, speaker wire and cables

I made my own speaker baffles and will make my own amp rack and enclosure when all the stuff gets here.

The truck is about 80% done with RAMMat/ensolite deadening so far, but I'll be yanking out the entire interior to have total access to it and finish off the deadening and running of the wires.

Shopping for an alarm as well...

    Can't wait!!!:yay:

I shouldn't have to touch the dash at all. I'll just pull the factory wires out of the doors and run them to the back wall where the reQ-5 is going to be at.
I'll be yanking the center console though...plan on mounting/hardwiring the new XM unit in the cubby hole just below the power sockets.

    MTX reQ-5 sound processor

Does this act as the Line out converter, similair to the cleansweep?

I am looking for options because I like you like the stealth approach.
So you use the Factory stereo > mtx req > amps > to speakers?

It's supposed to. I'll have more info when I get the instuction manual. Has crossovers as well. It has a ton of features, not sure what all I'll be able to use but I'll post up what I find.

and yes, factory stereo, reQ-5, amps, speakers

kick ass, excited to hear your results...the cleansweep is freaking expensive. Doesn't the hifonics have built in crossovers as well?

yes, the 4410 has built in cross overs as does the reQ-5, but I don't know which is the better between the two. I'll have to give MrMarv a call and get educated. There are cheap crossovers out there that do not do a good job, although I've had no trouble using the Hifonics crossovers before. I'll use the better of the two for sure.

The price didn't scare me off the cleansweep. The only thing that kept me from getting it, was that any external input needed it's own volume control. The cleansweep does not provide that. The reQ-5 does. I will run the XM output into the aux input on the reQ-5. Then use the provided volume knob for it (instead of the radio, since the signal does not go through the radio)
