Could I make the argument my prerunner is more capable in the snow then a stock 4*4

If I were to beat a body builder that's in a coma, could I make the argument that I'm stronger than him?

 

Luckily, most of my travels were far less "eventful" than that. Of course, I did forget to mention the road construction just outside of Dallas TX during that same trip. We were hauling tail (85+mph) late at night when the paved freeway suddenly ended (a several inch drop and only gravel remaining). A recent wind storm (probably the one associated with the earlier sand storm) had blown the road construction signs down. Doubt you will ever see someone gripping handlebars so tightly. Anyway, after that, we stopped at the very next motel for the night (I really needed a break).

 

I will gladly take my 4x4 everyday over a 2wd in the winter. I would be pressed to get to some of the ski hills on the powder days without 4x4.

What if you drove the Prerunner backwards in the snow?

 

Then that would be like a FWD but with rear wheel steering.

Might be a bit of a hand full.

 

Then he could have a front LSD but not have to worry about steering with the front.

 

Or he can just try to Steer with the Rear when he's on ice and finds himself doing 35 down hill with a 200ft dropoff on the side.

dude i think you are over thinking this. Op is saying that in the best conditions for a 2wd (good tires and trac) and worst conditions for a 4wd (shitty tires) is the 2wd more capable when the snow really starts to fall...and I answered it pretty plainly. Even with shit tires with little tread left the 4wd will work better than the 2wd. But you got the point lol

I mean like, if the prerunner had a long travel suspension, and rocked 44's, and had a 5.7 transplant with a TRD supercharger?

 

no, it would all boil down to weather or not it had a TRD stick...locker not needed...just the sticker

if the peerunner is a manual then yes it's way more capable because that means you have a gigantic ball sack helping weigh down and get traction. Everyone know's you're not a man if you don't have a manual, right OZ?
