But like I said if its done right you'd never know.. Honestly when there weren't lights on mine and I pointed them out people have said they never would have seen them had I not said anything. Painting it back and looking like it was never done is very simple. Probably took me 15 minutes to do both sides

I mounted the sub amp.. MRP-500 under the driver seat and the door speaker amp is bolted to the back wall.. Mainly just because it's too wide to fit under a seat.. I picked up an AG360 4 channel Zapco amp for my components.. Thing is twice as old a I am probably but still pumping like a champ! Couldn't be happier with my setup this far especially for the whole deal to have cost me around $250 (6.5's hertz in the doors, MRP-500, AG360, Alpine type S 10, box construction etc.)

Caught the end of a 5-hour rain: 1/2". Lots of minor flooding across the roads, with mud and rocks.

    Too few to list.
Make sure you get good quality led's that has a 360 degree output and test before putting back together.

    Polk db651s?

That's what I recently put in... with a small amplifier I really like the sound of these speakers.

Alright thanks. Busy schedule, not sure when I'll be able to do it.

Yeah they're nice speakers, especially for being inexpensive. They sound much better than the old stock speakers for sure. Definitely worth it.

Definitely test before putting em back in, though it's pretty self explanatory when you're replacing the bulbs..

Also, get the 5 LED light, MUCH MUCH brighter than the 1 LED bulb

If I've already got a brand new head unit with stock speakers, should I do these front ones first or the rear ones, do you think?

    Front speakers first.

That's what you mostly hear. A lot of high end audio doesn't even include rear speakers. Right now I don't have any rear speakers but will eventually add some for back-fill.

A lot of people give negative reviews for the Polk db651s because they aren't amplifying them. But for those who do amplify them, they get great reviews. Including from me.

I am powering them with a 75x2 amp (Sound Ordinance - Crutchfield's name brand) that I bought for $60. Sounds really good for the entry-level price of the speakers, head unit and amp.

If I were you, I'd also spend the $75 or so on sound deadening materials and do both front doors. Makes the sound vastly improved.

Got the truck regeared to 4.56, put on Budbuilt skid, belly, crossmember, still got to install BAMF lca skid, behind the grill BAMF light bracket and relocate my solenoid. Also ordered some light racing upper control arms, cbi stiffening plates.

Sounds like a plan for when I move soon and actually have a garage. California weather is nice, but it still isn't fun to work in the parking lot of an apartment complex :p

Finally a nice enough day when I was off of work to open up my door. Had a rather large dent from a hit and run and wanted to see how much I could get out from the inside.

Dent Before & After by Kathy / Analog Soul Photography, on Flickr

Not bad, I must say. There are two smaller dents left that I just couldn't get out from the inside (either by hand or tapping with a piece of wood and hammer). One of them kept popping back in when I pushed out with my hand. Amazingly, the largest part popped right out by hand. I have one of those hot glue sort of dent pullers that I'll try on the smaller bits. But for now, I'm happy with the results :)

Now that I've seen how cruddy the stock speakers are, it's making me think I may upgrade in the near future. The panel wasn't that difficult, so I wouldn't mind taking it apart again. Crutchfield here I come!

Like I recommended earlier in the thread... for entry-level pricing the Pok db651s are a great option if you add a small amplifier to them.

And on a sidenote, I hope you don't mind but I clicked on the link to your flicker photography page. I really love some of your photos especially in the music and transportation galleries.

Not bad at all. Take a small hammer and tap LIGHTLY on the high points at the (probably) top and bottom of the dents. That's where the pressure is centralized that is holding the dent in place. As those points go down, you'll see the rest of the dent come up closer to level.

I did PDR for a while and that is a finishing technique to get the last bits of a dent out. As long as those sharp points are there, the dent isn't going anywhere.

    Good luck.

Not any time soon. I've gone through (5) stock pumps + 3 rebuilds in two years, since I purchased the truck. I would have come out cheaper going this route in the first place.
