Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

I liked the bonding between Milton & Herschel and Darryl & Martinez.

 

Too anti-climatic.

 

That's definitely going to play into the story at some point , plus the foreshadowing of Herschel having a spare weapon strapped to his leg

 

And did the Gov have a gun strapped under the table during the meet?

 

Remember all the references to the tea that Milton makes for the gov? There's his opportunity to poison him

 

I was worried that the Governor was gonna be all Han Solo and Rick would be totally Greedo

 

There needs to be a battle. Anything else and the viewers would be pissed. IMO.

I liked how Rick told Herschel that "they need to be scared"

 

In so many words, he said "that was quite an arsonal you brought back the other day, do you think it will actually help you?"

 

The Gov says "You got guns. That was quite a stash you brought back the other day." Someone is watching them.

 

That why I thought the Gov intended to assasinate Rick in the barn and Michone would roll his head on the floor at the last second. While Merle stayed outside to get the other two except Darryl would intervene and the outside group join forces.

An actual battle with the whole town seems kind of stupid unless there are a lot folks that were OK with all the Gov's evil secrets. Even Merle seemed to know the truth but played along just to survive. And the only reason any of the town folk are willing to fight is the Gov has them brainwashed that Rick's group is the force of evil coming to kill everyone.

I can go along with that. Milton is the only one who knows the true plan and would be in a position to save lives.

 

That sounds like a good bet to me. Milton already knows enough on the Gov and now he and the guard are onto the BS from the Gov on his killing sprees.

 

Gotta wonder if Andrea told the gov about the weapons...that or there is a mole in the prison in the form of Merle...

 

I don't think he knows the plan, just that the Gov is going to double cross The Prison group.

After having read "Road to Woodbury" I'm wondering if Martinez isn't the wild card.

The more I think about it, I don't think the Governor stuff is resolved by the end of the next two episodes... I think it is going to continue into next season.

I think that the gove stuff will go on in the next couple of seasons because there needs to be some sort of antagonist...otherwise, the public will get tired of the same old walkers real quick...
