Well Yeah I understand that but it seems this site has the most genuine people. Actually wanting to help out. If I can't find the thread im looking for there and I ask it'll probably be the equivalent of asking 'whats the biggest size tire I can fit on 3in lift?'

in other news, I was doing 1-plate gassers on the flat bench (rest weight low, full exhale, forced push, inhale) and some dude comes up to me telling me I'm breathing wrong and that I'll engage more of my triceps if I inhale (what?)

so I tell him what I'm trying to do

then he laughs mid-explanation and walks away...

Either you're under eating, over training or dehydrated....I'd say have a meal before (1-1.5hr) and slow ur rest periods down

Yeah i was under eating by about 500cal, just fixed my diet yesterday with proper calorie intake and macros. Probabaly overtraining too but that's better than undertraining IMO. was pretty hydrated tho. i'll give it a try tomorrow with some whey shake 2 hours before gym. thanks for the advice sean.

    His workout?

I feel like if you had pain doing deads at 245, than your form was wrong and you need to go lower. Have you done deads previous to this workout?

When I started his workout I only did 135 deads and 135 squat, and 155 bench, 80 power clean and press was only 70.

I really didn't do it for long since you are on the bar all day. In the 1 month time I gained 6#, most ever in a month.. coincidence...maybe.

    Workout A
    3x5 Squat
    3x5 Bench Press
    1x5 Deadlift

    Workout B
    3x5 Squat
    3x5 Standing military press
    3x5 power cleans

Don't mess around with the dips and pull ups. They are just over working you.. and for the workout B, make sure you do power cleans. The other lifts are a joke compared to a power clean.

It may take awhile to get all the forms right. I just watched alot of his videos and used light weight until I could figure it out.

Thanks man. Its so much different only being in there for an hour vs my at least two body building/power lifting workouts :anonymous: . (I think im on the right track now.) And yes I did strength training throughout highschool with a fairly accurate teacher. Im definitely not new to the compound lifts. Why do you suggest not doing pullups and dips? Although they are all compound lifts, it doesn't seem like my tris will be hit as well just doing bench, and I need to get my tris stronger I hopes of getting out of my bench plateau. I personally love doing dips at the very least.
