Thanks. Yeah the cloud cover was spotty and the sun was in and out. And yeah manual mode. And on some of them I shoulda bumped the ISO so I could allow for a faster SS. But when your fishing you tend to just grab the camera and snap the picture as it comes by  Plus being on the rocking boat doesn't help either :p

I'll keep the SS with focal length in mind, that was one of those things I learned in my photo class but haven't applied it yet, other than today, except I forgot to apply it. This is only like the 2nd or 3rd time I have gotten to take my Siggy 100-300 f/4 out. Such a great purchase, I love that lens :D

    Those are some awesome shots!

I need to get me a telephoto, the longest focal length i'm rocking right now is a 100mm macro.

On full frame 100mm isn't very long.

    Keep up the good work!

that lens looks good. keep in mind, you have a crop sensor so you should apply the multiplication factor(since the crop sensor is smaller than a full frame sensor. I think it's 1.6x for canon)

one tip you could do, is set your auto iso to 800 and 1/600s. the way that works, is once your camera determines the exposure and it requires a slower shutter speed to compensate, it will reach 1/600s and raise the iso autmoatically(used under aperture priority, of course)

Taking a photography 101 class, this weeks assignment is on shutter speed. First idea that popped in my head. Taken in pretty much zero light
