correct.... add 7" to the total width of the stock width...then add 5.5" backspacing to each side then right? which would be 83.9" total width then if my calculations are right....

I don't think fiberglass bedsides are going to last holding up a heavy fiberglass shell. 1st trip offroad should rip those bedsides off.

    Better off getting a bestop.

oh ya...i forgot about that, thanks...hey dude..when you measured for the axle...was that so it would match the width of the front? or is the rear going to be wider than the front by a lot?

soo my front stance is 87.6" then with the spindles as well.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Thanks for the reply, their is a F-250 down in Dana Point that has them and I have seen a few rangers on desert rangers that have done it and seam to still be able to have the best of both worlds. Is it our composite bed that would be the weak link? I really need to be able to lock the shell (insurance wont cover my gear if its not under lock and key) so the bestop wont work.
Here is a image I found of a older toyota.
Do you think welding in a few supports would carry the load?
    Thanks

the problem is when you remove the stock fender it leaves nothing for weight to be supported by, then with the new bedside it has not internal support to carry weight so you would pretty much demolish them with off road use maybe even daily driving. you could easily get a piece fabbed up to carry the load and support your bedside better if that makes sense?

I was thinking something could be fabed up that would support the shell. I already hit up glassworks and they said it should work but didn't have any photos.
It would be way easier if I didn't have to transport photo gear around in the bed all the time...... Just can't leave gear in my bed thats worth more than my truck if insurance wont cover it.
