    'Lo everyone,
I just got my first Tacoma...been a Ford guy for 25 years and now I'm really pissed at myself for all I've missed. Half the price, twice the mileage and 10 times more fun to drive!!!

I'm from Minnesota, retired, like to hunt and fish and now this truck is about to become a new hobby.

    George

Don't be mad at yourself, ha ha. Just be glad that you made a good decision to purchase a Tacoma and enjoy your new truck everyday. I will tell you that no matter how much you think that you will enjoy your new truck, it will end up being more than that! So, Enjoy and welcome to TW!

Piercedtiger, I've already ripped out the secondary filter and bought one of them high end air filters...lookin' at adding a cold air thingy.

Answer me this tho....this is a tight bunch and all seem to be at odds with the Toyota dealers/service people, why??? Is there probs with them folks??

Depends on what you want done. There's a handful of TSBs out there and lots of people have had a hard time getting dealers to perform them. And some people haven't had a problem. Really depends on how your dealer treats you. I needed a new front diff. One dealer wouldn't fix it under warranty. Went to another one, they didn't ask any questions. Just called up the Toyota rep to find out if they should rebuild or replace it, and then ordered the parts when the decision to replace came back.

Then the scheduled maintenance is several times the cost of doing it yourself. Personally, I only use them for warranty work. The rest I do myself and what I can't I take to a local mechanic who has cheaper rates.

I think you're just trying to do some covert recon of the NA, but being drunk you make it obvious. :D
