    Hey Guys,

I know the opinion of PlastiDip is negative by alot of people on this site. I actually love the outcome of doing this. On my 2011 Tacoma i dipped the wheels a year ago and it is still holding up strong.

The entire process took me a couple hours to do and went really smooth. The cleanup was a breeze and I sprayed it from a wagner sprayer i bought for $79.

Flame away.. or compliment it, whichever you want :)

It looks sweet right now. If you really like the look paint it or wrap it with matte black. In 6 months you'll be kicking yourself if you dont

I think it looks good. Don't worry about the people on the site that don't like plasti-dip. Most of them are running BFG all terrains with a 3" lift. My point: It's cool now to not like plasti-dip and lots of people around here like to "fit in." I prefer or more individualistic approach.

I am curious to see how it holds up on a whole vehicle. I did my front valance 1.5 years ago and it still looks new. I was hoping to get 6 mos.

    Thats not too bad actually.

I've done badges so far almost a year ago and so far it looks like I've done it yesteday. They are not peeling, and truck is parked outside year round in the elements of Canadian winter.

I'm planning to do front valance once weather permits and it is actually worth to wash the truck again. :spy:

Regular car wash should be fine? I should have done that to my pitted stock alloys instead of selling them. Looks like they would have survived winter just fine.

Yep I agree. I have 1.5 yrs on my eyelids and grill (no touch ups). Has held up well on the avid bar too, super easy to touch up if I scratch it on the trails. Nice job it looks good.

So when you get any tear or scratch in te dip ( cart, branch, door) you are going to have the dip starting to year away. Paint doesent peel off by the square foot when you scratch it

It takes alot to tear the plasti dip.. if for instance I did "Tear it" you can rub the spot with Xylene make it smooth and re-spray the area.. you wouldnt even be able to tell the area was patched.

and why? why not i guess.. ive seen people spend $235 on stupider things
