So I spoke with Alaska safety today and got us another line on a group buy! Anyone wanting rigid industries led lights should go through them. I can't pull the trigger on anything just yet but I'd like to throw about 2k worth of lights on my truck at some point :anonymous:

They are a lot cheaper, but have you seen rigids testing videos? They're crazy resilient, and the output is industry leading.

I've had an unfortunate in counter with one of those packs on Elmo. A few years ago a C-17 went down and we were put out there as predictor patrols guarding the bodies till the could be removed and on night we were sitting out there on atvs (me and one other patrol) and we herd some movmen up in the tree line and as we shine out spot lights into the darkness we see a set of eyes. Shortly after one set of eyes became two then three then five. We knew exactly what it was by then but then they started yelping and barking back and forth and it confirmed our fear. Well our job is to go up there out of the light if need be and protect the bodies so we get off the atvs and holler and yell ad they retreat out of the big stadium light that was set on the immediate crash site and we went maybe 7 yards into the tree line and they would run back and forth right outside of our spot lights view. Before we knew it we realized that the barking sounded like it was all over and then realized that the "wolves" that we're runnin back ad forth was just one while the others were trying to circle around us.....needless to say we call for every Fn patrol to get out there ASAP and went back to back and moved back slowly to the atvs. Scariest night of my life. I've always had a fear of wolves but that night made it 10 times as bad lol. And their HUGE!!!! It's almost not even natural looking how big these things can get.

This past weekend I went to a alaska4x4network meet and a guy there had a new white tundra with I believe 3 of those light bars and two little square ones and boy did it make daylight. I'm sure he spent over 2000$ but with how much I figured I would use them I'm fine going with the cheaper ones we will have to see how they perform. I know Anna and another alaska member got in on the group buy so there will be plenty of testing

    yes there will :D

Did you get your invoice yet? Still waiting on mine....

On another note, yes. Wolves. Huge. Have not actually seen one in the wild while out. Yet. Only at the zoo and while I have been driving. Just the tracks a few times. Would like to keep it that way. Read too many Jack London books as a kid....

Also, ffirg... you were asking about the powerline camping access. If it is the one going to the lake, I found it and it is not clear as of now

Was the C17 the one that went down right before the air show? I remember seeing it from across town and I'll never forget the feeling afterward.
