Ok...someone explain this to me. The following pic is of a DC long bed Taco...a bad ass Taco btw (Mr.TRD I believe) Typically, at least from what I've seen, the extra length in the bed is added before the rear wheels. On this truck, the extra bed length has been added behind the rear wheels. Is there a story to this that I am missing something? ...or do I need to shut up?

I don't think that's a long bed to be honest.

I agree. It does for some reason look a bit long in the ass though.

We know what short beds look like

The back end of that truck just looks a bit long to me...and I agree with Tigerfan00 about the distance from the fenderflare to the taillight.

it's a short bed, it just looks longer in the pic because of the reasons stated above, also because of the spare tire being on the tailgate

Definitely a shortbed. That's Brant's truck. Looks like a shortbed to me as well. A longbed is looks VERY long (more than the AC longbed).

I think its an illusion as well. The topper and rear tubing are decieving. If you look at the proximity of the front of the fender flare to the rear of the cab you can see the difference between the two.

BTW phantom_X-SP,it is a cool looking truck for sure.

the distance between the rear wheel and bumper is the same long bed or short, but you get extra length between the two wheels...

Long bed, my ass. Toyota should call the two beds what they are. Short bed and even shorter bed. Nothing long about it.
