I think im getting screwed by a vendor on tw

So I ordered a small part for my tacoma off of a vendor on tacomaworld on feb. 3 he called me the same day to get more info said it would be about 2 weeks production time and the parts would be shipped out. I call him at the end of feb after 3 weeks.he says I should get them in a few days. Call him on march 6 says they shipped yesterday. Call him on march 12 and he says usps picked them up today. Finally got a package with a receit and installation instructions.

I dont wanna bring any names into this just yet. But do you guys thinks I should call my credit card company and try to get my money back or wait another day or two

 

Wait you got your product but are still thinking of calling the credit card company? Or you just received a box with a receipt and install instructions?

 

Who is the guy? May as well tell who it is in the event that someone else buys from that vendor and gets similar results.

 

Finally got a package with a receit and installation instructions.

Did you receive your part in the package?

 

No just a receit and instructions and a ripped open envelope. No parts.

 

The vendors that do a lot of work on this site are hard working and honest, sometimes they over-extend themselves and can't meet deadlines, They know if they screw someone over, the community would hear about it. I would talk to a Mod before you drag anyone through the dirt.

Edit- does it look like the parts were taken out of the envelope?

 

Oh. Sounds like you got fucked by the long dick of the law. Did you use USPS?

 

I'd probably talk to the vendor first.

 

Could this part fit in the envolope that was ripped? Is it possible the shipping companys fault that you didnt recieve the part?

 

The parts probably would fit in the envelope but would weigh at least 20 pounds or more. Who would ship that in a envelope

 

So all you got was a box with instructions and a receipt? Did you get a tracking number?

it may have fallen out of the envelope and is on the floor of a USPS hub somewhere...was it insured?

 

I doubt he/she/it would send out two separate packages just for the instructions and receipt to be separate.

Agreed. Also, it is very unlikely that usps or ups drivers would open and take from a package.
A neighbor possibly?
