    2jzs come twin turboed lol

    A 2jzgte anyways.

Also if you get a 2jzgte with the r154 bell housing it bolts right up to our r150fs.

The 100extra horse power you get will make it feel plenty more peppy...and actuall even more so for you since it would be like what..150 more hp.

I'm going for a expo trail rig. But I'm going with long travel so the drivability on the road is retained. SAS is just too much and not needed. Wth 35s/37s and LT..I should be able to do damn near anything ill even want to.

And you need to come out west..play in the big rocks and not the big mud..:p

I just guess I can't see an SAS rig as an expo truck haha but expo for me is new place to sleep every night and new dirt road/trail a day for at least a week. I saw a couple SAS tacos in Moab..and it was crazy how tall they were. I couldn't imagine riding it on the high way or anything like that.

yessur, bent it and welded it up as well as the top plating on the bumper.

    right, the GTE does :D
and seriously? dang. that may have to be done in the future. i'll do more research closer to the time of.

idk if you remember our convo a few months ago on Silas' build about LT but i was all gung-ho about it but i want bigger tires. if you SAS right and put the money into it you can still have excellent street manners, which is what i'll be doing.
Nick(nomods) is working with RCV and total chaos to fix the cv problems but unless you want to fit that 8" clamshell i don't think it'll go towards us 1st gens.

I'd honestly be happy with a non-turbo 2JZ. Less things to break down on me.

the 2jzgte though is extremely stout and IMO one of the strongest motors there. you can get in the high hundreds HP on stock internals on them if you know what you're doing.

I haven't looked into the 8" diff. Thought I found one for free but didn't

But yes. 2jzgte will bolt right up. It's the wiring harness that's a bitch. And piping the inter cooler since we don't have stock bumpers anymore.

And CVs breaking for the LT guys isn't very popular anyways. If you drive safe..I think they will do fine. If I can find a 2nd gen diff I'd look into it more. Just not a lot of guys cutting up 2nd gens haha

And I look forward to seeing it!

I'd just keep the 5vzfe. Not worth it otherwise

Yep. When I had my supra and was on the forums there you can push 600hp reliably from a stock 2jzgte with a big single 67mm turbo or bigger and the right fuel.

    your loss :p

wiring is always fun, come on :D syke.
hmm. i'm extremely interested in a swap now. SAS first but a swap may not be too terribly far.
Nick and Mark(nwitaco) are the only two i've wheeled with LT and they've both snapped quite often. granted Mark's was an issue with All-pro's kit itself, i've still witnessed nick snap 2 or 3 just doing easy stuff. heck the last time he snapped it was on a very mild hill.
i could be wrong, but i just feel that maybe not enough LT guys wheel and hit hard stuff :notsure:
infact the only 4wd LT first gen i can think of off the top of my head is Jerry's incredibly amazing build.

Well...most are jumping..not crawling haha but who knows..I'd like to try anyways.

And yes. Not too hard. I'm considering it too. But a good 2jz is 2-4k alone. And bell housing is 300. Then all the little shit. Come to about 6-8k. I need lockers first

I'm looking into a 3uz. 4.3l Lexus v8. Plus the intake is the same as e tundra 2uzfe...so a TRD sc bolts up..

    Talk about torque..

i shouldn't do it yet. my motor does fine for now. and when and if i do get the 2jz i'll drop it off at a reputable shop to have them tune it for more low end torque than speed.
that'll be sick though man. someone recently told me to do that swap and i can't remember who..

This is the most bad ass 1 st gen 4 Cylinder I've ever seen.... Is the deck plate mod worth doing? And do you always leave the deck plate open or do you close it sometimes?

Thanks man! I still do that when im bored lol

Much appreciated! I dont know how big of a difference it made on mine since the 4cyl air boxes are designed differently. I can hear the intake a ton more for sure but its been so long since I did it I dont remember what it was like previously haha. I never close it up. Ive been in some deep stuff with it open but not enough to worry.

He's got a 22RE, anything is an improvement other than a 3.slow. Hell Id love a 2JZ but an ls engine or vortec is more likely to end up between the frame rails.
