Yeah I've been in some scary fast typhoons too. The scariest car I have ever driven and been in was a 512hp crx with a boosted to shit b18b motor. Shit was front wheel drive and could not stay straight on launch. Had an extended shifter so when boost hit you could still climb gears. It's funny I have buddies who own exotics of all kinds from 1000hp supras, 900hp sti's, ferrari F430's all kinds of crazy cars and the scariest car I have ever been in was a Honda haha.

Met a guy near my house in a King Soopers Parking Lot with a lifted 2003 sand mica Tacoma with Addicted front bumper, All-Pro sliders and rear bumper. Nice setup. I invited him to join up here for trail runs. I hope he finds us. Sounds like he has a couple friends with older rigs.

The power don't mean shit unless you can put it down. I used to get guys all over that said they could build 700R4's to hold 1000whp and couldn't understand why a 4,200lb AWD Typhoon with over 600ft lbs of torque could twist them up like an aluminum can no matter how I explained the laws of physics to them. So I would just take them out and do a boost launch blast which equaled 0-60 in the 2 second range and then they understood. That type of dig out of the hole is a lot safer than 1000whp+ cars too since they're all top end which equals truly dangerous. My typhoon was an aerodynamic brick after 100mph. :D

They are more rare then anything. As you can see only 22 were made that year for that color. I believe syclones are even more rare then typhoons.

That's a sought after color combo if it's original. The problem is that they never kept a database of what colors were made but enthusiast have put together a rather extensive database on the topic. I had a chance to buy a Radar Blue/Radar Blue Typhoon (more rare than even this one with only a few made) and missed it and I also had a chance to buy a Syclone with only 138 original miles. The pictures were crappy and the situation seemed fishy. The interior looked real dirty and the details were spotty. Turns out that it was a collector that had it in a climate controlled showroom since the day it was new and the 'dust' was due to the owner's failing health the last few years that lead to the reason it was being sold with limited information. One of the other SyTy members bought it and trailered it back East. He rubbed it in by telling me that the undercarriage still smelled like new car. :( Still kicking myself for missing out on the latter.

Anyway, here's some pics of my Typhoon to help me get over missing out on those other rides:

They made 2,995 Syclones in 1991 and 4,697 Typhoons from 1992-1993.

BTW, there were about 132 Bright Teal/Gray (pictured) made. It's believed that they only made a total of TWO of the Radar Blue/Radar Blue Ty's and I almost had one.

But, again, they never kept an exact database so actual colors and VINs associated with them are unknown. This is why I passed on the Radar/Radar because I had some info at the time that lead me to believe it was a repaint. Later on I would find that it was most likely one of the Unicorns.

Man id trade almost straight across for my tacoma for that black typhoon. That thing is beautiful. Besides the truck vs suv im pretty sure thats the only difference i cant quite remember but i think you can get the typhoon in AWD... where you cant get the syclone like that. i dont know im not super knowledgeable on them.

Hmmmm I think you are paying for the extra stainless there. You might call a couple of local shops to see what a custom set up would set you back before you pull the trigger on that.
    Welcome to the BS thread!

Nice! You will have to bring the canoe up to red feather when the lakes thaw out. Private, stocked and I've heard average size is almost 15" which is not bad for trout.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I haven't used it in a while. Hopefully it still floats.

Sweet! Done with work. Go pick up a few flies and enjoy the day
