That could work. How do they sound?

 

Sound really nice, I have 4 of them, 2 in the front, 2 in the back.

I am going to components in the front so I have the seperate tweeter instead of it being built into the speaker. You can always listen to them in my truck first.

 

6 1/2s up front with a 8" sub in back sound awesome

 

Mike, just a thought but if you're buying a house, the pickup will come in handy. I've used mine a LOT more since I purchased a house to haul materials and other things. If you plan on doing any work yourself, you might need the bed space.

 

This. It was one of the reasons I got rid of my car. It's been useful more times than I can count

6.5 all around with 2 12" subs in the back sound pretty awesome too!

I was looking into the ID's, but didnt feel like spending the money, they are supposed to be awesome speakers. I have 6.5 kickers all around now, but just bought a 4 channel amp so I am going to switch to a component speaker up front.

x2, I actually bought mine after I bought my house. I was borrowing my dads tundra every weekend to run to Home Depot. I use it all the time for house projects.

Possibly. I really want the 16" version of the alloys you have and with tall skinnies as well

 

How much you looking for for them? How much tread left?

 

I wish i could fit another sub or bigger boxes back there but i have no room. I might be the only access cab with a homemade sub enclosure and still have full use of my backseats.

 

Same setup I had in my Colorado..now I have 6x9's and love them. They will give you better sound quality if you buy a good pair, plus I run a 90 watt amp and my 6.5's weren't lasting more than 2 years. That same amp ran my old Infinity 6x9's for many years.

And Mike, you will need a truck as a homeowner. Trust me on this one..lol when you see my house you'll know why
