looks good. I've used Plasti Dip myself on my stock rims before I got new ones. I've also used it to black out my badges, grill, and even truck box. Still holding up pretty damn well. Good work..

I don't think I'd do it to mine but I do like it! Maybe when mine is older and needs some work, it will become an option though.

Cheap, durable and effin' cool!

That looks awesome. The next time I am down in Pentiction I am going to keep an eye out for your truck. I agree with other posters who have 2nd Gen's, I couldn't do the whole truck. I'll do little parts and pieces but that's pretty much it.

    Good job!

I think it looks badass. If I had a first gen I would have done something like this by now. My grill and badges are derped. I love the look but hate the feel and texture. Although the ability to patch on things like this is pretty nice. I have no hard feelings towards plastiderp. Flat black has always been a favorite paintjob of mine.

I think it looks awesome...no doubts there....but to spend $300 on something that is temporary.....IMO, you can spend your money on much better things.

That being said...it still looks awesome.

The OP already explained this on the first page...

...not that I have any personal experience with PlastiDip, but this seems reasonable enough. :)

I honestly dig it dude. One question though...was that $235 price purchased locally? I know here in Calgary it costs roughly $20/can (ridiculous, I know) and I haven't seen it sold in bulk for sprayers anywhere in Canada except for Ontario. I can't imagine it being any cheaper in the Okanagan...

I'm considering doing mine in white.

    A few things
How did you prep your rims before spraying? Just a good cleaning, or did you have to rough the finish up? I'm thinking about blacking my rims out but don't want to mess them up in case I don't like it afterwards.
    Thanks!

OP--Looks awesome imo! I didn't even realize that they had a spray version of this stuff until now.
