    They're both AWD.

Thanks man. My Typhoon was a great example of the trucks and showed the effort put into it. The engine bay was easily the cleanest engine bay I've ever owned and looked brand new at any angle. I swapped out the air to water intercooler for the air to air (saves weight, eliminates pumps and liquids, increases consistency and reliability.. you can see all the plumbing & the front mount I made though the grill) swapped in a t3/t4 hybrid turbo and added a methanol injection kit (2nd windshield washer reservoir holds methanol and the steel braided line runs from a pump underneath that's gravity fed across the firewall to the intake elbow where you see the nozzle). With this setup I could run full boost (~25psi) on pump gas w/zero degrees of knock and the truck was incredible. Without the meth I was only able to run about 14psi in the winter and 15psi in the summer before getting knock activity. The ignition systems on these trucks SUCK and you need to play to change the cap/rotor & plugs every couple thousand miles or less and they're a PITA. Plug wires will need to be changed every few plug changes too. Even with an MSD it was SO hard to keep the spark strong with this thing. The driveline was also a PITA and they liked to chew up transmissions and if you did an R400 conversion it would start destroying transfer cases.

    But man what a ride.

The feeling you get during a boost launch (leave the line at about 12psi under the slightest bit of wheel spin) was incredible. The boost launch itself was an art form on these trucks. Some guys did a rotor swap in the rear but I left the drums because they offer more surface area for clamping power (not as good at actual braking as rotors mind you) which you need with higher boost. The procedure is as follows: From a stop & with the truck in park or neutral you want to stand your left foot on the brake as hard as you can. Give the truck a couple of good revs which will pull vacuum from the brake system and give you more clamping power (this step is necessary or the truck will start creeping forward at around 7-8psi) as you feel the brake pedal sink to the floor. Let the revs settle (foot still firmly on the brake) and put the truck in drive. Now, give the truck gas and watch the boost build as the revs climb. As the boost gauge gets to 12psi you drop the brake peddle and then mash the gas to the floor. If you get it right all four wheels will spin a couple revolutions, the back will squat while the front points skyward and you will be pinned to the seat as the truck hurtles past 60mph in a couple of short seconds. I shit you not, this is the most violent launch in the automotive industry. Even the stock trucks are intense out of the hole but this one was nearly twice as fast. I always warned people to sit back against the seat and hold their head against the headrest and they thought I was kidding, especially given the look of the vehicle.

    Sometimes I miss that truck.

I just took delivery of two fishing poles/rods for the wife and I for this summer. I can't want to re-learn how to fish and teach her to fish for the first time. Might have to plan something up at your crib.

Yeah boost launching is awesome. I had a 2 step in my wrx and I would leave the line around 20psi with little to no wheel spin.

You and the wife are more than welcome up there Jeremy! As long as you guys can deal with our infant daughter and the noise she makes when she gets up to eat in the EARLY a.m. (that is, if you two decide to spend the weekend with us, staying the night). Spinning and baitfishing for trout is one of the easiest ways to get into fishing. If I pick up a canoe or raft at some point that is another fun thing to do. Having access to private lakes takes out the boring frustration of getting skunked.

I have never fly fished, but I am interested in learning, possibly this summer.

Fly fishing is fun. I'm no good but I like to try. :)

I had a fishing raft that I just have away. It was awesome to fish out of. I would have given it to you. It was a 5 person but held 2-3 with gear and beer really nicely. :)

That's all that counts Dev. I suck at a lot of the stuff I love to do, but I still do it.

Spin cast. Got a couple of these bad boys in 6' 6" two-piece flavor. Got a smokin' deal (basically got two for what they are normally priced at for one) and that was the only option left. Should suit our needs just fine.

I was running Firestone Firehawk all season tires so anything north of 15psi and the traction was in question. Now, on the track with fresh VHT... that's a different story (20psi is no problem) but I'm talking street conditions which can vary greatly.

I don't sleep too much so that's not a problem for me. The wife is a little bit more picky about her rest (probably why she's so beautiful and I'm... not :D) but in that setting it's not like you sleep super late anyway.

I've never fly fished but always wanted to try it. It just seemed like a time-consuming and expensive hobby to get into and took a lot more dedication than spin fishing. Maybe someday...

Well we go up almost every weekend, and we are having a great time entertaining people up there. Weekends are the only option though, so hopefully that works for you guys.

Just let me know of a weekend you would like to come up with us and we can make it a plan. If you would rather wait until it gets nicer so we can go fishing, wheeliing, hiking, etc. I don't blame you, but I hike every time I'm up there, I just wear gaiters to keep snow out of my boots. THe wheeling trails that are super close are closed for the season but should open up in a month or two. Fishing is all ice fishing right now, and since I don't have a hut, it would be pretty chilly. Not the kind of fishing to get into the sport.

Yeah I forget what tires I ran. But I ran them all the time. They didn't have much tread life.
