    X2

I have a camper shell and roof rack and still get 20 mpg in mixed driving if I drive reasonably.

$150 returned to my CC once they receive my cores. These are OEM remans so real Toyota shafts, not weak/cheap steel NAPA/Autozones. :)

 That's ridiculous. I my last fill up I got 8 mpg. I average about 170 miles per tank. I don't know what to do. I drive pretty conservative as well, no romping around flooring it or peeling the tires (doesn't even seem to have enough power to do that anyways :().

I let it warm up enough, and even then it just seems weak. If I floor it from a dead stop, it'll slowly creep up to about 10mph in about 4 seconds, no tire peeling, no jump off the line. Someone on a mountain bike could literally beat me in a short race. The only time it really has any power is when I'm at around 2,500 rpm, and then the throttle response is good. Anything below that and it's just a slug. I drove a family friend's bare stock 2003 3.4L, and it had WAAAAYYYY more power then mine. So there's obviously something wrong. Every couple weeks I'll get a P0171 saying it is running lean, but it's not consistent.:confused::confused::confused:

This week I'm going to clean my MAF (already tried that though), replace spark plugs, replace fuel filter, and check my O2 sensors. But if that doesn't work, I don't know what I'm gonna do. Bank 1 O2 might need replaced, but I don't feel like spending $115 just to "see" if that is the problem. I have a muli-meter, can I check it anyway with that?

Any advice would be great guys, sorry for the short novel of a post... :(

^Same symptoms my truck had for a while. My cats were clogged up tight.
Do a backpressure test. Five minute diagnosis will tell you if they are clogged or not.

Honestly I think its the town driving...Its slow..stop and go, and a few lights.

I don't think the camper has made anything bad, and most likely has made my mpg better.

As for the other comments...when I go to nevada (270 miles) its always different but the first time..I seriously got there on a half tank of gas. Just like my old corolla!! It was really shocking. There have been times though where it took 3/4 of a tank to get there too.
Im very curious to see how it does this time...Since last time I got the shell on, new cam belt, water pump,(ETA: in changing the belt we found that it was off by one or two teeth! It was a gutless wonder, Its like I got a new truck once it was put on right). fuel filter, all new spark plugs..a bunch more stuff too.
Last time one of my spark plugs went out 80 miles in. It sounded like shit and ran awfully so we just went back home and took the stupid hoopdeey instead.

I got new lower ball joints via the recall today. How'd my truck go from 2005 till now with out someone noticing that? I just bought in December.

I've been meaning to repaint these for awhile now. Decided since there was no sun for a few days I'd paint these as well. I'm not a fan of painted lug nuts so this is my substitution!

I have an aftermarket CAT, since my OEM one was ruined with oil from flipping it on it's side in an accident. It still seemed sluggish after that. But that was 2 years ago. And I read about it, and a symptom of a clogged CAT is engine overheating, but my temps are perfect. Warms up to right half way between C and H :confused:. How much would a shop charge to test that? We don't really have any major "exhaust" shops around here since there are no emission laws.

I haven't changed my belts or water pump, and I don't think the PO did either. Could that be causing some issues as well?
