Currently on the market for an 09 tacoma and i wanted to see what kind of deals other people got and what packages they have on their truck. All posts are appreciated.

And if anyone has offers in the air and wants to know if they're getting a good deal, feel free to post it up.

MSRP was 29k. Walked out paying roughly 26.8k after all fees and taxes. 09 Prerunner Double Cab Long Bed TRD Sport + JBL package. My dad thinks i paid too much. I hope not. Taxes in CA is about 9% and they just raised the Reg fees.

yea thats what i've been doing. today was my first day looking at one and test driving it. sticker is 28,800. it was a demo 09 meaning the manager or managers son drove it around for a while. has a little over 2900 miles on it and still qualifies for the 1500 rebate and full warranty. he gave me a price of 26,990 with rebate inlcuded. the fact that its a demo (basically used) i sent an email just a while ago asking 25,000 minus my rebate plus tax tag and title. what do you think its worth?

    barcelona red metallic
    2WD double cab
    trd off road
smoked headlights (not sure how they got in there cuz i thought only the sport has it, anyway its a plus for me)
    towing package
    6 disc changer
    daytime running lights

You should be able to get that truck for like 25k OTD. The fact it has 3k miles on it really brings down the value from their standpoint. I would print both the Edmunds used value and then the Edmunds TMV report and bring them both.

I like pitted dealers against each other all through email and phone and was able to save like 3-4K in the process.

Canadian perspective likely won't assit you much - but the shock value might be fun. My '09 DC V6 4x4 TRD Sport (Auto) - full load (except leather) came to just under $39,000 Canadian.

I've priced a few as I'm going to buy very soon. The best price I've gotten is:

09 Double Cab Off Rd Pkg $26,150 - about $5k off MSRP.

There are so many Tacomas on the lots these dealers are getting antsy to move them. This seems like a good time to buy for sure. I was looking at Nissan Pro4x and the best they would do was $3k off MSRP. So the Toyota is less expensive than a Pro4x...i'm up on the fence, lots of things to think about....ahhhhh

DO NOT BUY A DEMO. I know someone that bought a demo and has had nothing but trouble. Ok granted it was a 09 Ford F-150 but still. 2,900 miles on it already? I would focus on getting a new one. I've seen guys driving cars with Dealer Plates on the road and man - they abuse them and drive like total aholes.

I agree... iffy on the demo, but if you don't mind buying it, don't pay a penny more than 25K. It's a buyer's market right now. They need to make you a deal.

I have an 09, 4x4, dbl cab, long bed, tow package... fully loaded. Sticker was 31,500 but I got it out the door for 27,900. They made no money off of me. The key is learning to say no to your salesman and make em cry.
