    alright so I passed the technician exam for ham radio next up I am studying for the general. As of now I don't have any equipment, but with mounting the antenna to the truck should i drill a whole in the center of the roof? I will probably have the taco for approx 3 years or unless my wife has triplets whenver we can get prego. Anywho, will the hole in the roof drop resale?

    Seems like there should be a better way to mount an antenna than to drill a hole in your roof. I wouldnt do that. Can you mount it on the hood or in the bed?

    Yeah there are ways, but everywhere I read the best performance for an antenna is a hole in the roof...I am too scared though so will probably end up getting a window mount or somewhere else.

    Sorry guys the wife has not been doing so good with her GI system. Just did the hospital thing today. Plus I have bronchitis from the same cold that i had during our trail run in Feb and my son has been battling ear infections since Feb, on his third round of antibiotics. The wife was playing single mom too with me being out of town 2 weeks out of the last month. Lets just say lack of time.
