From what you told me about the cost of living up there I'd say it's needed...

 

I'd say we don't really get screwed on vehicle taxes, the $10k higher MSRP is where we get screwed.

 

It's the government tax on 'imported' vehicles. 6% because it has 'Toyota' on the front and not a pos govt supported vehicle

 

Supposedly we are charged more simply because we will pay more. Pure bs...

I managed to cut down my monthly living expenses from 2k down to about 600$ by renting a room and getting out of my apartment.

 

I have family that live in a small fly in community on Hudson's bay. You should see the prices they pay for stuff

 

kinda sucks that I have to pay 5% PST on my truck, if I lived 300m to the West I wouldn't have to.

So I've been doing a lot of research on the matter. I think I'm going to try to build a supplemental Hydrogen system for the car. I can do it for a couple hundred bucks. Either way if it works or not I can put all the hearsay to rest. The math I've done on the matter between the system power draw versus the cars excess wattage created via alternator says that it should work, however little it does work.

 

This summer hopefully, if I actually have any spare time versus trying to start a company and avoiding the ninjas trying to kill me.

 

Wasn't there a show on discovery channel last year that proved that this is essential useless? The gains from doing it were so minimal it wouldnt offset the cost of the equipment in the average time a person owned the vehicle

Or am I thinking of something else?

 

There are numourous methods and systems for it, I think I've found the cheapest/most effecient method for it. And since I track all my fuel mileage. I can give a definitive cost vs benefit.
