    So I am getting a rainier, wondering its none who has that one can hook me up with some pictures of where the ladder enters the sleeping area. I'm going to have to fabricate a net of some sort for a 'baby gate' so to speak. Our 9 month old is coming out with us this summer and I want to keep her away from the edge. Babies love edges.

    This. Just keep the screen doors closed. Keep the zippers up in the corners and it'll be fine.

    Otherwise the only things can think of is making a smaller screen or something that pulls across then inner part of the door.

    Is there a door before the ladder? My impression was the ladder and awning area was just open to the annex. Incorrect?

    Yes there are door up in the tent itself. One on each end. There is a tarp door then a screen door. Your kid should be safe.

    The annex has a door on all 4 sides of the Shasta. They all have an external tarp door then a screen door EXECPT the one that faces the truck. It doesn't have a screen door.

    Yes there is a door. the main tent looks the same as the mt hood. i posted that pic earlier to you could see what just the tent looks like. the rainier is the same TENT as the hood just has added walls and roof for the annex

    would depend on two things...how much weight is the stock rack rated to hold and what is the spacing of the bars? the tent rails (bachelor and shasta for sure, not sure about the larger tents) are about 32" apart
