I wonder how many goalies the Redwings will bring to the game tonight? The last two games both Osgood and Zetterberg were both goal tenders. Is it just me or am I the only damn pens fan that is pissed about this. Here's the rule from the NHL:

67.4 Penalty Shot - If a player, except a goalkeeper, while play is in progress, falls on the puck, holds the puck, picks up the puck, or gathers the puck into his body or hands from the ice in the goal crease area, the play shall be stopped immediately and a penalty shot shall be awarded to the non-offending team. See also Rule 63 – Delaying the Game.

Here's an article on from yahoo w/ video:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/pu...n-Zetterberg-rsquo-s-controver?urn=nhl,167464

The other side, wings fans, have plenty to argue as well. Maybe Malkin should be sitting this game. That's what the orginal call was, but since he's a "Superstar" the rule doesn't apply to him like it didn't apply to Zetterberg being the Wings 2nd goal-tender. All I have to say is WTF NHL, you want more fans but you refuse to officiate your own rules.

    GO PENS!!!

I don't think anyone questioned the toughness of a hockey player. And if you need to be tough to be a hockey player, why does everyone call Syd and Malkin out for being cry babies. Do you recall the top 3 this year...Geno, Ovech, Crosby.

I don't think Syd could stand in a ring with an NFL Kicker. But you can bet your ass he can outscore 99.9999999% of the NHL players in the league.

Hockey is amazing (stick handling, hand/eye coord, reaction time, teamwork, etc). It just doesn't capture my interest like football.

Anyway, this is a NHL thread so let's get back on topic. PENS WON THEIR FIRST OF FOUR!!!!!!!

As my XC coach said when we would mention about the football players to try to run a 5k, "You train for the sport that you are in, the training in one is not the same for another." These athletes work to be the best in their sport though Hockey players are tough phsically for what is needed (the unexpected hits). Football players work so their tough for the duration for the play.

Well, scratch my back with a hacksaw! Although I love football more, I do hope so.

As a duo...probably not. As a whole team...they've already shown they can handle you.

They'll do it again tonight and tie up the series.

Refs again with the no-calls. I guess it's better than a game full of penalties. At least there were freebies given to both teams.

Pens took care of business and showed the wings what they are capable of. Keep up play like this and the cup is ours! Now it's off to Detroit to do what we couldn't do last year!
