Good idea to move to Texas; you will find it is pretty Jarhead friendly. As for SA or Houston - I'd pick SA. I live south of DFW; but have been to both cities more than I care to go to them. The great thing about SA is how close some pretty good rock wheeling is. Houston has a lot of mud nearby.

    Either way; welcome to Texas.

I'm gonna be going to SA because the Wounded Warrior Project program I'm attending is gonna be there plus....which is a HUGE plus is the Bass Pro and Cabela's close by and my boy I served with is in New Braunfels.

From the look of your avatar it looks like you were Infantry. Which unit? I was with Golf Co 2/4 from 05-06 for the Oki pump.

*I clicked the pic and found you were with Kilo Co 3/7. It's always good to have more Infantry in Texas IMO.

The old lady and I donate to the wounded warrior foundation annually, glad to see it being put to good use.

Nice have fun in Texas, seems like they are the last state not to be bullied by anyone. My wife and I talked about moving but my job is a hard one to get so I guess we will stay in Colorado and just deal with our state circling the drain. Im jealous of your move!!

Not sure where you are looking but there is a plethora of jobs in Houston, depending on what you do of course.

San Antonio is where I'm moving to in Aug/Sept. San Antone has the river walk awesome tex mex and is a short drive to Austin, DFW, and the Gulf. Well, short drives for Texas. If you you move to Houston, you get the Astros and oil refineries.
