Jim - neither. The bolts on the Mosins were always "in the white." No blueing. Not sure why they did that - now I have something to research.

    Jim:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it is hands down the best phone I have ever used.

The interface to my bluetooth HU is seemless and the quality over the truck speakers is amazing. If you are into music there is a 32gb option that is a lot of storage space. There is also an option to add a 32gb micro SD card giving you a total of 64gb of space. The camera works great with clear pictures and as an added bonus the S3 supports NFC, Near Feild Communications.

I did a lot of research between the iPhone 5 and the S3 and the S3 came out on top. Plus if was $100 less expensive. And I really wanted an iPhone 5 at the time.

If you can bundle the phone in on one of the kids plan it would be less expensive. Even better if they paid the bill. ;)

My dad never wanted a cell phone. My mom did so I picked up one for her and paid the bill. It was the least I could do for her.

Glad to hear Lynn is doing a lot better. Her road to recovery was a little bumpy there for a while.

    Morning All.
Hi Tom, I don't know if it will be on today or not, but on PBS they have their fund raising and Rick Steves was in Venice. He has audio walking tours that you can download for free and put on an Ipod, or MP3 player. Also Trip Adviser.com has a lot of good information and you can go to the forums and get answers to questions. Good site. :D

Thanks guys! She still has one procedure left - they have to remove the stent on Thursday. Unfortunately, it entails another ECRP where they go down her throat, thru her stomach, etc. No fun but the doctor said it is much easier than placing the stent. They then shoot in some dye to make sure there is no leak.

After that, hopefully, she'll be done.

I have been reading his book on Italy and Rome. I plan on doing the download walking tours.

Started talking to our son about what he wants to do in Italy. Not a lot of activities a 13YO boy would want to do, sadly. Too many museums would wear him out. We did book a be a Gladiator activity in Rome and a walking photo tour, with a photographer in Venice.

Watched Roman Holiday last night. :anonymous:

I will keep Lynn in my prays for a speedy recovery.

The Missus and I did alottttt of walking when we did Italy. Plenty of sightseeing to do. One thing your son might like is the Doges Palace tour in Venice. They show you where they kept Cassanova locked up and explain everything about the early years of Venice. It is only a 3 hour tour but interesting. If you decide to go, book your tickets online or you'll be waiting in a really long line. The be a Gladiator activity sounds like great fun for your son as long as they don't release the lions into the arena...LOL:rofl:

Sounds like a great trip, Tom! Lynn and I never made it to Italy - that's on the top of our list once we are able to start travelling after retirement.

    Ken:
I need to start to research the sales tax that is applied to purchases. I believe I can recover the tax if my paperwork is correct. The tax is somewhere around 23% so it is a lot of money. I plan on purchasing two light pendants in Murano and I know the cost will be over $1000.

I will look into the tour for Venice.

    Mark you will love retirement.

Also if anyone has any thoughts on carry on luggage I would appriciate the input.

So far this piece is leading in my search.

    http://shop.eaglecreek.com/tarmac-22/d/1011

I told the wife we are packing light. Makes sense for two reasons, we only have carry on and taxi's in Italy cannot take large pieces of luggage.
