You'll be proud of me, couch. I'm posting with a buzz this evening. It's quite fun. I don't care who I piss off, and I'm posting more than usual, and not really caring whether they make sense or not.

If I keep this up, my post count should match yours in no time.

You haven't figured that out yet? You take every 3rd letter of every 4th word of odd numbered posts in months that end in 'y' and it contains the secret of life. :spy: That's why he has all those acronyms.

Hey Sawdust, be very careful with that drinking and posting. The next thing you know you will wake up and find out you joined the Carolina Alliance.

There's not enough beer in the world, but I appreciate the concern. I won't be making a habit of it.

Check this article out. My skills are in demand! I'm gonna be rich! I'll buy this site from tcBob and give everyone except Couch banning privileges.

The site doesn't belong to Bob anymore. He gave it to me as a present for my 3000th post. And i would never sell TW to a Texan

I've been on the internet since '92. I remember when the mosaic web browser was first released. Good luck out-internet-smarting me.

Oh, and I've been dying to use the new smileys

You win by a nose. Summer of '93 for me. I splurged and sprung for an Apple LCIII upgraded to 8 megs of RAM, a 14" RGB displeay, an external CD ROM, a 300DPI B&W inkjet printer and a blazing fast 14.4k modem! All for less than $3600!! :D

    Wombat!!!

    Hey Sawdust,

You better start adding to this thread, as of right now it is only 3 posts ahead of the stay on topic thread. I mean you will still have the longest intro thread, but you may soon be bypassed for the longest thread without any real substance title.

    Good luck with that.

I'll just get Bob to ban you. i could do it myself since its my site but i dont like to do my own dirty work. After Bob gave me teh site i decided to throw him a bone and let him work for me, so he still "acts" as administrator but its my site. Mine

Welcome to the longest intro thread in history!

You had better hardware than I did. I was using a Mac SE30 (upgraded to 8 MB, and a Syquest removeable 40 MB hard drive) and a 1200 baud modem until the lab got wired for ethernet.

Longest intro thread has been my goal all along, but as rhoppas has been reminding me, even in that I set my sights too low. I never thought it would get to page 5, then 10. Now I'm thinking 17 is just around the corner. Do I dare hope to have the longest thread without any substance? Oh, but on second reading, you're saying this is the longest thread without any substance. <Keanu Reeves voice> Whoa </Keanu Reeves voice>. I've just got a competitor now.

Reminder to self: stop posting on the stay on topic thread!

Edit: :bananadance: :bananadance: PAGE 17!!!!!!! :bananadance: :bananadance:

To help with the length of this thread...

sawdust, where did you get your Access Cover, and how much did you pay? I am going to have to get another one since my current one won't fit my new truck. The people I got mine from were idiots...

When I started my current job in 2002, we were in an old building that still used Token Ring! I couldn't believe it. It cost them more to buy and install TR cards in all the new computer they bought than it would have to run ethernet.
