I've used all possible combinations of CB drop and 3 degree shims and nothing made ANY difference.
I doubt going from 2.5 degrees to 4 degrees will make a difference as the CB is fixed. Just my 2 cents...

Stupid question but if alot of people are having vibe problems in the drive line and are attributing it to drive line and pinion angle. Wouldn't it just be easy enough to grind the spring perches off and have them welded at the correct pinion angle after a lift instead of working with shims?
If your gonna work with 2 driveshafts, why not drop the 1st driveshaft hanger down to the correct height and line it up with the diff.
Or if your using a one piece it's simply lining up the shaft.
    idk.

I'm the OP on this thread from 2011; have a new truck and a new screen name.
Just came across this thread today and good to see that it's still current with some recent posts. I'm lifted again and the damn vibes are back. This next week I'll be going back to Six States to fab up another one piece. The difference between driving these trucks with vibrations and without is a night and day experience. Gotta get back to the smooth ride!!

Beast..what does a one piece cost these days? i love the simplicity of a single shaft..less joints to fail.

I paid $450 installed from a local shop that would warranty the shaft and provide modifications if necessary. I'm hoping to get a deal on this next one. Looking thru other threads I've seen members getting custom one pieces for less than $400 so it all depends on your local shops.

Hey where is they place off Columbia? I'm often on Marine Drive and Columbia when doing local loads trucking...would like to see where it is...I need to get a one piece driveshaft...I have a take off shudder that a 1" CB drop seemed to help a lot, but it's still there...

I would go local if you're doing a one piece shaft. I got mine from TW and it took away my take off shudder but gave me a 55-60mph shake! His Customer Service was terrible! wanted me the cover the return shipping and the shipping for a new shaft! BS!!
I would NEVER recommend TW shafts! They suck Donkey Nutz!!:D

Tom woods only makes a one piece for 4wd...
I had one custom fit and made of aluminum without the double cardan. 530 out the door and my truck now drives like new again! Vibrations and take off shudder are gone.
