Hi Ben, I've been watching this site for some time waiting for the Hidden version. If you are taking count of who is interested, count me in.

These are awesome kits! I was wondering, with the access cabs the rear seat assemblies changed throughout the years. Some have head rests, some don't. There may be other differences. Does having the head rests or anything different affect the install for these kits?

 

If you need help PM me. I have his first access cab kit in my rig. Send me a picture of what your backseat looks like. Mine was actually pretty easy to find room for. I didn't do much of anything as far as installing the kit, other than glue on the mounting plate lol

This is actually a good question. I have not personally seen what is behind the back seat of 2011, 2012, or 2013 AC's. I had been assuming that its the same as previous years but it would be great if I could get some volunteers to take some recon photos of these model years. I don't expect there to be any issues but it would be good to confirm.

 

Here is the back of 2012 ac's with every thing for the seats removed if need better picks i can take some more.

Were there originally headrests that you removed?

 

I am interested in a fully hidden version and would contribute to a kickstarter initiative. That is if shipping to Eastern Canada is good! I will sub and wait and see.

I am liking the kickstarter idea. I think I will probably go that route, and will offer backers a decent discount as added incentive.

I don't know that much about kickstarter, but the way I see it coming together is that the pledge amount will be set at the discounted kit price, and I will need about 120 backers to reach the budget goal. At that point, I will be able to purchase the minimum order quantity of parts and will be able to release the hidden kits once parts are produced. I have to run the numbers again with the latest and greatest part costs, but 120 backers should be about right.

Everything up to this point has been designed, tested, and is ready to produce -- I just need the startup capital to move forward with production.

Keep in mind that the full hidden kit will work for all cab models -- regular, access, and double. However, the access and regular cabs will require an adapter kit that will cost about $6 extra.

How much you needing per backer?

 

I'll have to get back to you on that. It will be the retail price of the kit, minus some decent discount that I have yet to determine.
