Hi Guys! Anyone have any ideas for a great place to hide a spare "door" key for my 2013 Tacoma 4x4? Don't want to have to break a window someday in the back woods where I work and play...

Wouldn't asking for a hiding place defeat the purpose of a hiding place?

Ive seen quite a few people on here suggest HitchSafe (http://www.hitchsafe.com/). I dont own one but looks like a good idea.

Lol, yes lets discuss this on the internet. I recommend a combination lock box hidden in the front passenger fender, using the combo 2-1-7-4.

I have personally never lost a key, but I can understand that if you're out camping / hiking and covering a lot of wilderness over a weekend, it might happen.
I would never feel comfortable knowing I had a key hidden on my vehicle. Lots of pull off trailheads in the Adirondack Park here in NY. If someone sees you headed in for a 10+ mile trailhead, that gives good time to work on that hitch safe or look for your spare.

I like these for a spare:
1: space under foot bed of your boot
2: buddy you are hiking with holds it
    3:dog tag style necklace
4: stitched right to a hidden spot in your backpack

Maybe you like these, maybe you don't.
