Change it. You'll be light years ahead just with that. You can buy a decent single DIN for $200 or less..Pioneer or Alpine is the way I would go.

Just saw a guy with a silver 1st gen with 6" lift at Honey Dew. Also saw a lifted Dakota which I rarely ever see.

I had my first one on Weds with the cajun fries.

I like all the bells and whistles on the stock so I will have to spend to get them back but I think it is the only option. My stocker has bluetooth for the phone as well as audio,sat radio,plays my ipod, steering wheel controls and 6 sets of 6 presets. I cant think of anything else but that is alot

If you really want to improve the sound and keep the stock headunit you can use a line output converter and install a amp. New speakers will really help the SQ even with the stock headunit, but a line output converter with an equalizer and a nice amp would sound amazing with a nice pair of components up front. If you plan on running the speakers with a stock headunit look for speakers with a high sensitivity or efficiency, like over 92db

 

Looks awesome, i need to go wheeling in the sand dunes i have never done it before. You might have to tell me where this is sometime.
