Craftsman Jack and Stands

Is this a good deal and will the jack lift Double Cab short bed tacomas? How much does the Tacoma weigh?

 

Buy some wood to go with it so you can block it up. I personally would get a bigger one but it may work fine with a stock set up

 

Yeah my truck is stock not lifted. I need a jack that I can use both on my Lexus is350 and the Truck.

 

Hmmm kind of on the fence of getting this

 

The jack is not the issue. The stands are a little short. I had that set. Ended up selling the stands & bought a taller set of 6t stands.

 

So the jack lifts the truck just fine? How heavy is our truck anyway? The stand I will probably use only on the car.

 

Never had a problem with the jack on the Taco or the FJ.

 

Nice I may just buy it tomorrow.

 

i have a 3 ton jack and my truck is lifted with 33" tires and the jack has no problem lifting it

 

My Dad, Brotyher , and I each have that same jack and they all suck. When letting down the truck, jeep, van, whatever it just drops the vehicle and very rarely can any of us find a spot where it slowly lowers. Also My jack will slowly lower the vehicle and I have no faith in it to hold a vehicle for any period of time. For x-mas I bought my self the 2.5 ton HF alum. racing jack and that thing is awesome, no problems at all!

My brother has those stands and we like them, but I love the HF 6Ton because of the height.

My brother had that creeper and it only kind of worked on a smooth garage floor.

Over all don't waist your money on craftsman jacks or creepers

PS: Before the 3ton my dad had the Craftsman 4ton and same problems after about 1 year.

Also I have been and continue to be a craftsman guy.

Edit: Each jack was bought at different stores at different times and are 1.5 to 3 years old.

 

I bought the same set at Christmas for 89. i like it

 

The Taco weighs somewhere between about 3500 and 4000 pounds, depending on the model you have. A 3 ton jack will easily lift it.

 

I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg on a jack. I just want something that will lift my vehicles safely and last for quite a bit. I just started looking at jacks so I haven't researched or shop around.
