    Hello everyone,

Just bought my first Tacoma (2012 prerunner 4cl) with 18000k miles. I am moving and need to drive it 500miles to our new location. I got it from the dealer last week and its certified so I know they checked it out pretty good already, but was wondering what I should do (if anything) in preparation for my 1st long trip.

Any and all input would be great, thank you

check oil level, tranny fluid, tires, tire pressure, and ipod connections.

Lean back and enjoy the ride. Don't know if you're towing, but if you are, you should check the trailer also.

I loved long road trips in my current Tacoma and the one I had previous. Just check the regular things like oil, air, antifreeze, things like that. You're pretty much good to go. Have a great trip!

Turn the cruise on, turn up the radio and enjoy the new location once you get there.

As far as the truck goes, the guys above have the right answer. Check fluids, fill up w/ gas, and go.

You are going to have to stop for gas once, that's the only downside...

I was just joking about the "k" at the end of your 18000k. K is an abbreviation for thousand. This would mean that your truck has 18,000,000 miles. But to answer your question, no. 18k is hardly broken in.
