    Was hoping to get my extended greasable shackles installed today with urethane bushings. My little man came down with the flu yesterday, sooooo that = daddy staying home playing Mr. Mom until the wife gets home and not installing shackles before the trip, lol

    That has to be a super easy job... jackstands under the axle and the rear frame unbolt the rear leaf bolt, unbolt the old shackle. Bolt in new shackle bolt in shackle to frame. Pull out jackstands.

    30 mins max... do it while ur boy takes one of the many naps he'll take all day

    Well, from what people are telling me, it can be real PITA getting the old bolts out. You sometimes have to heat it up and melt the rubber bushing a little. My hitch receiver is limiting access to the upper bolts a little, I may take it off before I do it.:eek:

    Depends on how rusted they are. That's why you should put grease on them before you re-install them!

    Yeah, I'm not looking forward to fighting with it. I think I'm just going to take a sawzall to it though, and then put a propane torch to the leaf eyelet to get the remaining bolt and bushing out.
