Here is how the T case sits now I gained about 2" of clearance by clocking it.

The vision x tantrum kit? Did you wire them up the way they come or did you cut the plugs off and just wire them all to a switch?

And for the Crawl box install

Marlin Taco Box with the 4.70 gears

    _DSC4882_zpsa47217a6_d04ccc28b1f3fbc0fc7b0143d819f8f4ff05d882.jpg

First thing I had to do is pull the T case and remove this coupler. I just tacked a weld in fix it washer and use a bolt to pull it.

    _DSC4853_zpse436dd70_1c6ff2df31901f593cfe046d2ce51d327fbaeb23.jpg

Next the new coupler and seal had to go on i didn't get any pictures of that but here is the Crawler mocked up.
    _DSC4855_zps5c4d42fc_0ee0e5cdd858ad96963c80414a9a1adfcfbc58e7.jpg

Marlin provided all 8.8 hardware I had some 12.9 socket head cap screws in the shop so i upgraded them.

    _DSC4858_zps07bfdccb_fee1b603b87a0fbc5bb38e58c3e42abd56e6ccef.jpg

Next thing was to mock up the T case to the clocking plate. I found that the 2 bottom holes would not work one was off set and the other was just a dimple.
    _DSC4859_zpsd2d8b398_0bf9ecfcbd33da5e4422c5049d0f4305f72831b4.jpg

    _DSC4860_zps33110a2e_00d0c4671caaadec74ab9899f216710aa2ce4750.jpg

So i locked it in the Mill and went to town :D
    _DSC4862_zps8e2a0f42_20939d046c050d1398d69b2ba438193dd8c03218.jpg

    Fits like a glove now.
    _DSC4863_zps95a76d42_f81d9b8fda68fc3393ef091def3a707bb5ca5f43.jpg

Then i dry fit the T case clocking it as far as i could without hitting the floor i did beat the floor just a little to clear the case.

    _DSC4883_zps4eadaa26_f9dcb44a30826375a1bc80ec94101fccdf2bfa96.jpg

Then i found this slot was not allowing the T case to go into Hi gear so I pulled everything off and back to the mill it went.
    _DSC4875_zps86a6ccda_d3c903ea6a9039c6ffc3fb8ed235df8fed46e42b.jpg

I opened it up just a little and it not shifts smooth as silk.
    _DSC4876_zps37f21ac1_ab8cb9a53eb6d4c9d1ef96d4b171f24e3290fb60.jpg

I got lucky with the Manual trans and the stock shiftier came up through the coin cup :D

    _DSC4879_zps3625d908_ad3ca128dcc332a8dd16299b3b7b4ab4bc600999.jpg

I then took a carbide bit to the center console so i could shift the T case into low.
    _DSC4886_zps07919f11_168d198c4fd39bb0c1010804f71b0968bbba647d.jpg

I also had to flip the shiftier handle to get it to sit right. And the knob only go's on one way I didn't want mt knob on backwards so I took the carbide bit to the shiftier.

    Before

    _DSC4889_zps1d082050_ec5adaa8450a6e172bd4fdd68434b228b73cbe57.jpg

Now the knob sits the right way again

I still need a boot and extend some of the wires but this install is pretty much done!.

the actual boxes arent that different. just the internals (if even that since u can get marlin internals from inchworm) its mostly the adapters that are different

Really? I though the inch worm crawl box had to be like built into the stock transfer case...least in 1st gens..

Inchworms' site has the crawl box for the tacoma that fits from 95 to current

i know for the second gens, they are essentially the same case. I think i read for a while, that inchworm was supplying the cases and marlin the internals.

on marlins site, if u go to the crawlbox section, the actual case looks exactly the same?

also, from when psu taco got his installed down here, im pretty sure his adapter from the tranny to crawl box was a inchworm, while his clocking ring was marlin. all this tells me the actual case is the same.

correct me if im wrong on you having an inchworm tranny adapter, psu
