If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Just to follow up, the mounts held up fine wheeling this weekend. No rattling or loosening up.

Picked up a couple nylon locking wing nuts from Fastenal today. The standard ones haven't budged, but these will insure they don't loosen up.

The dude working the counter was a badass - he didn't want to go through the trouble of ringing them out, so he just gave 'em to me...looks like he's getting a case of beer tomorrow :D

    Okay this thread is awesome?

Does a 60" highlift fit in the 5ft short bed of a 2nd gen?

After 10 different searches I found this thread on page 3. Thanks for the first half of your answer.

Occasionally it can be difficult finding what you are looking for. This seemed like a perfectly legitimate place to ask a question about hi-lifts.

hi-lift, hi lift, high lift, high-lift, hilift all lead to different search results.

LOL, I wasn't being a dick, just trying to point you in the right direction...hell, you'd be surprised how many people don't even know how to search for things. It can be cumbersome and frustrating to try to find exactly what you're looking for, but I'm glad you found what you needed. Good Luck

    Thanks for the Thread!

Just added more info to my build thread, But here is a pic of all three of my new mounts; I used lifting eyes and T-nuts to mount to the bed rails.

I love the cargo box mounted up front. I still need to secure mine so it doesn't move.

Thanks Mark! I'm really happy with how all the mounts turned out. Not a big deal that it's not *stickied*, but I just hope people can find it easily using the "Search" function...

:rofl:Seriously! I almost added an apology/disclaimer for the vendors who might lose some money by people doing it themselves. When it comes down to it though, I am cheap and prefer to do things myself so I may as well spread the love!

I really want to thank the OP for this awesome write up. Upon fabbing these up I did run into a little problem with soft topper camper and the mounts for the canopy do not allow proper mechanical usage of my topper. I simply drilled my Hi-lift mounting holes 3/4" lower than listed above and everything fit nicely. Also, I see great benefit to using these types of mounts through out the bed rail system. I ended up cranking out a few extra of these mounts for my brothers taco. Thanks again!

Nice! No need for quik-fists when you can just drill it! :D

Did you use my mount dimensions? just curious if they are working for people, or if any revisions/modifications are necessary (like what RDtres noted).
