I ended up not having to move the bumper at all .. the McNeil fenders fit perfectly inside the main hoop

Wrapped up the prototype roof rack. These are for 2nd gen double cabs. The mounting legs mount directly to the factory roof holes. You drill thru the rubber strip and the mounts sit on top but do not touch the paint anywhere so no rubbing.
Rack is made from 1.25" Round .060" wall. Mounts are 10ga cnc cut and brake formed. The rack is not fully square, it tapers wider to the front to follow the roof line. The front dips down to follow roof taper and allow for wind fairing option. Appx weight is 40lbs but I did not actually weigh it, I will do that as soon as I can. Front wind fairing is optional, made from .187" UV and Impact resistant Polycarbonate. Light and antenna tabs are included for the rear. Front rack for light is designed to carry a 40" LED bar, I chose Rigid but can be made for any 40" light with end mount provisions. It is a good idea to choose a light that has cover options for street driving. Rear of rack falls just behind the XM antenna.
Tamper resistant hardware can be used for assembly to deter theft.

Let me know when you have a price worked up on the roof rack, looks very very slick.

    Roof Rack looks incredible!

What is the total height added to the truck?

How are you running power to the lights?

Edit: Off website:Overall height of rack is 8-1/2" from the roof

I think he said somewhere around 40lbs but will have to weight it for the exact weight

The rack height from the brackets is about 8.5" tall but the roof contours, the center of the rack sits about 1" above center of roof arch. The rack is about 6.125" tall, adding appx 7.125" to overall height of truck.

Piece of cake, except the drilling that will be required.

You should just trade yours in on a double cab, its not like you have much time or money invested in yours yet.....

The hi-clearance cu bedside version is the only one available right now. Working on the standard rear as we speak, it's a few weeks out.
Lead time on the hi-clearance is a couple weeks or so

If you wheel in situations where you are likely to damage the lower bed sides its the way to go, otherwise you're cutting it off later and possibly fixing busted tail lights etc.
If your more in to fire roads and less technical stuff it may not be necessary..

The first cut on a brand new truck might be difficult for most people, for me I found that 3-4 beers made the first cut easy and the last of the 12 pack got the job finished up perfectly.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Be able to make the rack out of aluminum?
Be able to weld perf or expanded sheet on the bottom?
Willing to sell just the mounting legs by themselves?

    Looks good! *Real* good!

Expanded sheet no problem, made from alum?? Prefer not, bending it sucks and you'll only save like 20-25lbs.
Ill sell the legs separate if you need em

Im loving that bed bar/rack need to see how it will work with my light bar, you got some badass talent and excelent work. Do you or can you make a bracket where the front hook goes that will be made to hold a shackle?
