It's doable on trails where you keep moving. If you start having to crank your steering wheel and do 52 point turns then you put a lot of stress on the rack. It's the being stationary and having to turn that kills them. Playing in rocks makes it even worse. I'm locked in the front diff so that doesn't really help much.

How would you mount it? I've thought about the same but adding a steering box and getting rid of the rack all together.

Me too. When the front locker is engaged in the rocks, I pretty much can't turn unless I am moving... I saw a steering rack upgrade for 2nd gens somewhere recently (can't remember where now...) I wondered if it would be worth it to upgrade to it or not though.

Haha, I'm not going to be wheeling my truck this time. :( I'm hauling my bike and another up this year. So, I'm mainly camping, drinking, eating and hanging out. Will follow for awhile on the bikes then head off. I need to get tires, and I may get new wheels if I take the plunge on the AP LT kit. So.. want to do it in one shot. Lol

Went on lunch break, come back to work and there's a silver taco parked in my parking spot. Walk up stairs and there's a really pretty girl talking to my boss. Is it meant to be haha?

Bought a flat bill Oakley trucker style hat today since I lost my old Oakley hat. Been trying to curve the bill all day but it seems to not want to stay. I remember my military 'covers'(hat) would curve and stay easily.

Its because you bought a flat bill. Place a softball in the bill with a rubber band and let that sit for a week
