So I was suppose to seat the bead first, then go back and pop the bead on one side and add sealant?
    I got some stans sealant.

Ill check it when I get home tonight and see if its still holding air.

    Yeah.
I put the sealant in when I first mount the tire. With some sealants, you can remove the core of the presta stem and pour it through the hole, but that can take a while and be a mess.

Pump the tire to like 60psi to see if the bead will seat. You want the sealant to coat all internal surfaces, so you need to rotate it around like Still Will said.

Depends how you're applying the sealant.

If you use the method where you pour the stands in the tire with their measuring cup, then you must dismount a small section of the tire to apply(pour) the sealant and remount.

...BUT I PREFER seating the tire first, and then removing the core of the Presta valve and using this to add sealant VIA the Presta valve. I've had good luck doing it this way.

Mine broke as well, right before the recall. So, I had to wait 6 months for a new frame. But, they gave me a deal on a One 9 frame $300, that I sold to my friend. However, that bike just fell off his rack and got run over, several times.

Instead of waiting for my new Jet frame, I bought a Pivot Mach 429 and built that up. When my jet frame came in, I sold it.

Love the 429. Also had a Air 9 for my ht, but was a medium and I started have back issues. I switched to a Specialized SJ HT, expert (large) and love it.

It's a great bike. Where I ride, I'm seeing tons more Spesh Enduro niners & SC Tallboy LTc's on the trails.

It would be so nice to have two bikes!! Haha I wish...

It seems like a one bike quiver for what I ride. I do a lot of climbing and downhill but the downhill isn't mach10 off 30 footers... I love my buddy's Enduro 26 and think this would be the same but just climb a bit better...

just saw this video about the ripley 29, this bike looks pretty awesome. I would love to take a closer look at the suspension too, from an engineering standpoint it looks pretty innovative. its a sexy bike too, i cant wait to see one in person, hopefully my shop gets one in stock soon, i would definitely take it for a test ride.

another thing, ill be demoing treks 2013 lineup on sunday, atleast hopefully, if the snow melts and dries enough. i really want to get a ride on the rumblefish and finally see if all the hype is true.

Cool video. I didn't understand the comment about the taper. Basically, all that the taper in the steerer tube does is allow the tube to be press fit to the shock and from what I remember, it's not all that long to begin with-certainly not as long as head tube?

The other big question I have is regarding the pivot and eccentric. Those two parts make a big gap in the seat tube-I wonder if they'll see problems in that section of the frame?

That linkage system is crazy cool! I wonder if there's any concern over dirt and water penetrating the link and jamming up those bearings though

yeah i dont know, i guess it was longer in 2011? haha idk i see what you mean though

do you mean from a strength standpoint? i could see that being a possible problem, but there looks to be a lot of carbon around the bottom bracket and im guessing they use more around the pivots to help. i wouldnt see many more problems than the yeti sb66 since they both use an eccentric type pivot. The weight is comparable to the SC tallboy LT though so maybe not as much extra carbon fiber as i think.

other than there being more moving parts, i dont see there being too much of a problem compared to other bikes... although seeing this does scare me a little haha so many pieces to break/wear

Yes. From a strength perspective. Just seems like a weak point.
