Nice! Although the look pretty damn dark, do your lights still shine through?

ya they do. They are a shade darker than I wanted. I went to tough up part of one of them and ended up spraying on too much...and I had to match the other one to it...so a bit darker than I wanted but oh well. its life.

 

oh god damit. its not that bad...it looks darker than it is because there is no light shining through the back of it...

 

I bet money you get a ticket for them haha those look so illegal.

Haha just saying...some cop isn't going to like that.

 

Because from the back there was just too many colors and too much shit going on...it looked bad. the yellow red and white just didnt go with anything and stood out like a sore thumb with the green truck and black wheels and tinted windows. Darkening the lights masks those bright annoying colors and makes it easier on the eyes.

well if worst comes to worst ill get some rougher sand paper (1000 or 800 maybe) and sand off the clear and most of the tint and just do it again.

 

You ain't a kiddin'!!! What do you plan to do with your fenders? Just remove them? I was planning on doing glass on all 4 corners before I go to 37's. I just don't think it is very doable with glass... You already have to cut the shit out of them for 35's.

I know what you mean about the amber. I hate that color on my truck. but I'm not willing to make my brake light harder to see to just get rid of the amber tho.

I've seen a few ebay taillight covers that use an amber bulb with a clear lens. I've considered those.

 

My thoughts too. haha. The whole pic looks dark in general so I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now haha

 

monte you have so much going on that it negates the hideousness of the lights.

at least you get my point. I think the tinted lights look better on the darker green truck like I have IMO. not as bad on a red truck like yours because most of the light is red anyway...but just too many colors for me.

thanks guys. at least you give me a chance. I will also see how dark they are on the truck, because by the time i put em on it was black outside. will they be dark...haha ya definitively. I just hope enough light goes through. I dont wanna re do it.

its not about light output at night thats a problem, its during the day.
