Tacoma Water Pump Seal SUCK ASS!

So, I just got my water pump replaced after my head gasket got blown out at 180K, and now my water pump leaked at the first changed, then the second change was all good until 10K miles later. Started leaking again. I swear these fucking seals suck. I've been getting the OEM water pumps and shit just get shittier. Anyone have this issue with their water pump seals? This about to be my third one, thank god I got it covered under warranty at my mechanic!

 

Any chance you have a pic where it leaks from?

 

I'm assuming you're having Toyota install them? Could be the installers doing a terrible job. Might have to take it to a different dealer if possible?

 

^^^ agreed, proper placement of seals is key even though seems as simple as turning a screw
