Locked 2wd vs open 4wd

Pretty close to the real H2 there with all the plastic

Could a atrac equipped vehicle go farther then a vehicle equipped with front and rear lockers is the real question

I have the same setup plus a rear locker and when offroad I choose 4wd and the lockers, but I spin all 4 wheels in the sand when accelerating hard so I would likely just bury my rear end in 2wd.

I was thinking this earlier. If 2wd locked was so superior companies would just lock the 2wd's rather than designing 4wd's. Much much cheaper to do.

FUCK NO!! I've tried this on a few occasions and my A-trac has nothing on my lockers.

I remember something about the shiny side of a truck facing the wrong way like a turtle.

Could atrap have saved that?

2wd with locker is much more fun getting sideways and kicking up sand an dirt.... but thats why we have 4wd also to actually get out of it and keep going.....

If I you had 2wd and I had 4wd the potato would end up being marklar.

 

Haven't flopped the taco yet...the crawler is another story ha aha

And besides, the taco is a 2008..no atrac thank god

Yea, I definitely have fun getting sideways, but there's been a few times where I almost lost control and knew 4x4 would have pulled me out. My remedy was to clench tighter and let off the gas

 

Are we really doing this again? Can I make the argument my KTM 300 XC-W with studs is better on icy trails than a four wheel drive Can-Am with bald tires?
