Sweet, man. I know we already kinda talked about it, but if you're going so far as building up the IFS and getting a bit custom, why not go stronger and bigger? Do you ever see your truck on 42s in the future or will 37s be the biggest?

If it's good enough for Shannon Cambell, it's good enough for you! :D lol
    [IMG]

Currie F9  Maybe a bit overkill and you would have to upgrade the rear axle as well.... but that's easy enough. :D

I thought about bringing this up. haha. Doing a center mounted diff with full length arms would give you huge amounts of travel over any bolt on LT kit!:drool:

    I live by that haha

and jesus that thing is beautifuL!!!....maybe...:spy:

and 37s would be the biggest id ever go.

Im curious though as to how you get CVs made for something like that...or hell how to make anything like that. Id have to get WAY better at welding first..or find someone within 500 miles that does that shit..

I figure tho the 8'' taco diff won't be THAT hard to do. but..who knows..

maybe i will go full out center diff..id feel kinda bad though having like what..18'' of wheel travel?? and never really jump it all the time hahahahaha

Solo is making LT kits that allow us to run 19" of travel with just longer control arms so with a center diff done right I'll bet you can pull more than that!

Imagine having control arms that are almost half the width of your Tacoma!

    So much for drivablity..hahaha

probably just go with the taco diff..if things go like how i am thinking..will be pulling 14-16'' anyways since the pivot point will be further in then a normal 2nd gen.

There are 2 CV options that I know of for that diff.... 4340 934 CVs and 300m 30 series CVs. There might be more though...

If you want a centered 8" front diff to kinda match the rear a little better, the rear diffs out of an 86.5-92 MK3 Supra would work... You should go read the Dual Sport 4runner build again for some inspiration! :D

Yeah.... but look at the flex!! :D

Should be plenty for an expedition rig anyway, and plenty bombproof. Also, I guess it'd be good for you to stay away from a lot of custom stuff since you want to have replacement spares with you if something ever breaks....

If you can figure out how to make the 8" taco clamshell work, it would be epic!

yea kinda what i was thinking..i mean..it'll have to be custom to a point..but if i can keep some stuff not so custom..could work okay.

 I'm lucky my little brother wants to go into welding.... He's going to school for it now, so when he's a master at TIG, I'll have him do the welding for my KoH trophy truck. :D
